According to Dem Notes, Democrat John Turner has withdrawn from the state treasurer’s race and thrown his support behind Democrat Cary Kennedy:
I believe it is counterproductive to enter into a primary which would only divide the support, money, and vote when the real goal is to win the State Treasurers Office for us Democrats. In addition, a primary would only weaken both of us, squander money that needs to be conserved to take on the Republicans in the General Election, and make it easier for the Republicans to hold on to that office. Therefore, because I believe in the good of the Party, the State, and the importance of us winning this office, I am throwing my support to Cary Kennedy. I ask each of you to help her and work to make her the next State Treasurer in Colorado. I intend to work with her to help her achieve this goal.
Turner didn’t have much of a chance in a primary against Kennedy, so it’s a good move for him all the way around to pull out and support the Democratic favorite.
